Sverre Schyberg Olsen (b. 1971) has for several years built up a name as one of the most vital young kolorists we have in Norway. It's good to see that some are ready to take up the legacy of Jacob Weideman and Jens Johannessen. In Gallery A, he gives the 22 oil paintings with a new dimension to the koloristic and visual impact.
In "About Vision" that the exhibition is called, which began 28 april, we are included on a visual journey. Greenery forms are abstract in such a talented way that we formelig can hear the sound of the waterfall, smell the lyng or the cold snow. Sometimes you recognize the elements of nature while at other times it is free up to the imagination to find a parallel to nature. It may in a way be a case of going on a visual journey. But in contrast to many nature aside, Sverre Schyberg Olsen on nature's power and vitality. It's like he is trying to look at natures spirit or mentality
Sverre Schyberg Olsen has for 10 years lived off as a proffesional artist. His pieces are sold to five municipal assemblies, several large companies in Norway and private art collections. He has also had sold to diverse companies, examples, "Explorer of the Seas" Royal Caribien Cruise Line AS.
In addition to its visual and landscape displays Sverre Schyberg Olsen, a new and exciting direction in urban style. It is therefore important to have as a key that the cityscape also is a landscape that has ever-changing light and mood. These images have a surprising colourit where the silver is a dominant color. With these paintings show Sverre Schyberg Olsen that he always developed his talent in a powerful direction. The exhibition lasts until 15 May. Good luck!
