19.10.17-05.11.17 (Galleri A)

OPENING THURSDAY THE 19 OF OCTOBER AT 6PM. WELCOME!
The title refers to the UNESCO world heritage area surrounding the beautiful Geiranger Fjord on the west coast of Norway.
The landscapes are merged with private photographs, as well as images from the news. The artworks are meant to visualize a global situation in a local setting, but at the same time, away from the local and set into a global context. There exists a duality in the paintings, giving the onlooker a different perspective based on their viewpoint. Issues like global warming, the plight of refugees, our attitude towards- and our co-existence with, nature. And a question arises, what is world heritage, and what do we want it to be?
